Regardless of the option you select, every student at Penns Manor Area School District will have a chromebook for the 2020-21 school year. The chromebooks will assist the school district should the county transition between green, yellow and red phases. The chromebooks will also assist with students transitioning from one instructional option to another.
Instructional options for you to select from while Indiana County is in the green phase:
Option 1: Student attends Penns Manor Area SD building to receive instruction from Penns Manor Area Teachers. District Health and Safety practices will be in place.
Option 2: Student remains at home receiving instruction from Penns Manor Area Teachers using Google Classroom and supporting software. Note: Students are receiving instruction one school day later than the students in option #1. Reason, when a teacher is teaching a class in option #1, the class is being recorded. The recorded class is going to be uploaded to Google Classroom for students in option #2 the next day.
Option 3: Student remains at home receiving instruction from a Penns Manor Area Teacher of a teacher from Edgenuity. Edgenuity is the instruction platform we have been using for our Penns Manor Cyber School for the past few years.

If you are considering not to select option 1, option 2 or option 3 for your child, and you are considering an outside of district cyber school, please speak with an administrator before doing so. Penns Manor Area SD academic performance surpasses the out of district cyber schools academic performance. Secondly, it is not free to send your child to an outside cyber school. Penns Manor Area SD must pay the tuition for your child to attend the out of district cyber school. The cost Penns Manor Area SD must pay for each student is as follows:
Regular Education Student: $14,000.00
Special Education Student: $33,000.00
