RE: COVID-19 Case Alert
DATE: November 20, 2020
The Penns Manor Area School District has been notified by both a parent of a high school student and the Pennsylvania Department of Health that a high school student has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Penns Manor Area School District has worked with the Pennsylvania Department of Health to identify and communicate with individuals who were in contact. Our student has not been in school since Friday, November 13, 2020. We wish our student a speedy recovery.
Currently, there are no reported positive cases of COVID-19 at Penns Manor Area Elementary School. At Penns Manor Area Jr./Sr. High School, there are now four active cases where students are quarantined due to testing positive. One of those students will have completed their quarantine and return to school on Monday.
All members of our school community are encouraged to continue monitoring for the symptoms of COVID-19 and communicate any concerns with your health care professional and school nurse.
