Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!  I hope this letter finds you well and that you have enjoyed a restful and rejuvenating summer break with your families. We are looking forward to a successful year of learning and growing at Penns Manor Area Elementary. 

Just a few key points: 

1. On the first day of school, your child will receive informational sheets to help answer any questions you may have about all aspects of your student(s) day.
2. Please ensure that your son and/or daughter wears comfortable clothing and shoes to school.  It is safest and most comfortable to wear sneakers, or closed-toe shoes with back straps.
3. We need you to please complete and return the following to your child’s homeroom teacher by Wednesday, August 28, 2024:

• On-line Student Handbook Review Confirmation Form
• Penns Manor Area School District Internet User Agreement
• LifeTouch Permission to Share Email Form
• Penns Manor Elementary School Nurse’s Emergency Card 

**Please be accurate! This information will be used to contact you in case of illness or emergency.  Your child will only be released to the contacts YOU PROVIDE!

Please take note of the following important September dates and events:

• Thursday, September 5, 2024: Back to School Night 
• Monday, September 16, 2024: After school tutoring begins

We invite you to stay connected and involved in your child's education by attending school events, signing up for notifications, or joining our parent-teacher group (PTG).  Your partnership is invaluable to us, and together, we can ensure that each child reaches their full potential.

Get Connected: 

1. Sign up for Sapphire notifications to receive important announcements, school closures, etc.  The Sapphire link is located under the Parents tab at www.pmes.pennsmanor.org
2. Find and follow us on Facebook! Search for Penns Manor Area School District
3. Maintain communication with your child’s teacher.  Your child’s teacher will provide their contact information.
